Insider Tips
Go to the official Saudi tourism visa portal and click 'Apply for a Tourist Visa'. Create an account using your email address.
Fill in your personal details as they appear on your Ghanaian passport. Select 'Tourism' as your purpose of visit.
Upload your passport scan, recent photograph, return ticket, and hotel booking. Ensure all documents are clear and legible.
Pay $130 (GHS 1,490) online. The fee includes basic medical insurance for your stay. Use a Visa or Mastercard international card.
Processing takes 3–7 working days. You will receive an email notification with the decision. Check your spam folder.
Download the approved e-visa PDF and print a copy. Present it at check-in and Saudi immigration on arrival.
⚠️ Yellow Fever Certificate required. Yellow fever vaccination certificate is required for travelers arriving from Ghana, which is a yellow fever endemic country. Carry your International Certificate of Vaccination (yellow card) at all times.
The e-visa is decided automatically, so formatting failures are refused without a human reading the application.
Fix: Six months of passport validity from arrival, and a photograph that meets the stated dimensions and background.
The tourist e-visa covers leisure, family visits, events and Umrah. Work or study is outside it.
Fix: Apply for the correct category — using the tourist visa for work is a refusal and a re-entry problem.
Health insurance is bundled into the visa fee, but travellers who apply through third parties sometimes end up without it.
Fix: Apply at visa.visitsaudi.com, where the insurance is included in the price shown.
No published rejection rate. Saudi Arabia publishes no visa refusal statistics by applicant nationality. Checked August 2026.
