China's 2026 transit exemption list includes no African state
China published its 240-hour visa-free transit list for 2026 covering 55 countries. No African country is on it, so South African travellers connecting through a Chinese airport still need a visa arranged before departure. Mauritius and Seychelles hold separate bilateral exemptions, which are the only African arrangements of their kind.
