Morocco is an accessible and affordable visa destination for Kenyan passport holders. The consular fee is just EUR 30 (KES 4,300), the rejection rate is low at ~10%, and processing takes 5–15 days. Morocco's e-visa is open to Kenyans only where the portal's eligibility check allows it; otherwise applications go directly to the Moroccan Embassy in Upper Hill, Nairobi. No yellow fever certificate required.

Insider Tips
Run the eligibility check on acces-maroc.ma: nationality, passport type, country of residence, any additional visa (Schengen, UK, US, Canadian, Australian, Irish, Japanese, New Zealand or Norwegian), purpose and date of birth. If it offers the e-visa (MAD 770 (standard, 3–7 days) or MAD 1,100 (express, 1–3 days), for a 30-day stay), apply online. If it does not, the consulate is the route.
Morocco's list is specific and enforced — photographs at 3.5×4.5 cm on a white or light blue background, three months of bank statements, travel insurance, a flight reservation rather than a ticket, and a hotel voucher.
Signed and on letterhead. This is required rather than optional and is a common reason for a wasted trip to the consulate.
Applications go in over a window rather than by appointment at most Moroccan missions, so plan around the opening hours.
The mission quotes a minimum of ten and can request further documents, which extends it. Do not book non-refundable travel against it.
Bank statements not showing adequate balance for the duration of stay.
Fix: Provide 3 months of consistent bank statements with adequate balance.
No clear employment letter or documentation showing reasons to return to Kenya.
Fix: Include a detailed employment letter, KRA PIN, and any property documents.
No published rejection rate. Morocco publishes no visa refusal statistics by applicant nationality. Checked August 2026.
Morocco's e-visa portal accepts this passport — subject to its eligibility check
Morocco's official portal acces-maroc.ma lists Kenyan passports as e-visa-enabled (not AEVM). Whether a given traveller gets the e-visa is decided by the portal's check from country of residence and any additional Schengen, UK, US, Canadian, Australian, Irish, Japanese, New Zealand or Norwegian visa. The e-visa costs MAD 770 (standard, 3–7 days) or MAD 1,100 (express, 1–3 days), for a 30-day stay. This page previously said in places that no e-visa exists.
