Required Documents

• Valid Ghanaian passport Must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your intended return date. Must have at least two blank visa pages.

• Bank statement (last 3 months) Singapore consulate has strict financial requirements. Minimum GHS 5,000+ average balance recommended with consistent salary or business credits. Recent lump-sum deposits are a major red flag.
• Employment letter on company letterhead Must confirm position, salary, years of service, and approved leave dates. Contact details for employer must be included.
• 3 months of payslips Required alongside employment letter. Self-employed: submit 2 years of audited business accounts.

• Property ownership documents Title deeds or land documents proving strong ties to Ghana. Highly recommended — Singapore consulates scrutinise intent to return very carefully for African passport holders.
• Ghana business registration certificate Recommended for self-employed applicants. Register of Companies Ghana certificate is ideal.
• Tax clearance certificate (Ghana Revenue Authority) Adds credibility, particularly for self-employed applicants.
• Copies of previously issued visas (Schengen, US, UK, etc.) Prior international travel history significantly strengthens Singapore applications. Include all previous visa stamps.

• Insufficient or inconsistent bank statements

  Fix: Submit 3 months of statements with consistent regular credits. Minimum GHS 5,000 average balance. Avoid lump-sum deposits within 4 weeks of applying.

• Incomplete documentation
