Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common visa questions from Nigerian, Ghanaian, and Kenyan travelers.

How accurate is the information on this site?
We research visa rules from official embassy websites, VFS Global, and government immigration portals. Fees and rules change frequently — always verify with the official embassy or consulate before submitting an application. We are not a legal service.
What does the rejection rate percentage mean?
The rejection rate is the estimated percentage of visa applications from your passport country that get refused. A 20% rejection rate means roughly 1 in 5 applicants is turned down. We source these from Schengen statistics reports and embassy data where available.
Can I apply for a Schengen visa and visit all 27 countries?
Yes. A Schengen C visa (standard short-stay) allows you to travel freely within all 27 Schengen member countries for up to 90 days in any 180-day period. You should apply through the country where you'll spend the most time, or your first point of entry if time is split equally.
Is the UK included in the Schengen zone?
No. The UK is NOT part of the Schengen zone. A Schengen visa does not allow entry to the UK, and a UK visa does not allow entry to Schengen countries. You need separate visas for each.
What is the Yellow Fever certificate and do I need it?
The Yellow Fever certificate (ICVP / "yellow card") proves you have been vaccinated against Yellow Fever. Nigeria, Ghana, and Kenya are all endemic countries, so many destinations require the certificate before granting entry. Without it, you can be denied boarding at the airport or refused entry on arrival. Get vaccinated at an approved clinic and keep the physical card with your passport at all times when travelling.
How do I find where to apply for a visa?
Each destination guide on this site includes the application centers available in your country — typically VFS Global offices for Schengen countries, or direct embassies. Most cities covered are Lagos and Abuja (Nigeria), Accra (Ghana), and Nairobi (Kenya).
